Bed Bugs can cause:
- Major distress due to their feeding habits. They feed on our blood at night when we are asleep.
- Swelling and some skin irritation
- Allergic reactions in some people
- Severe economic loss
What is the Treatment?
To enable us to implement an effective bed bug control program, we thoroughly inspect your building concentrating on your sleeping areas. They can be found in mattresses, bed bases, crevices and even behind pictures on the wall and as bed bugs are nocturnal they come out after dark, which is also when they feed.
Once we locate the population, we can commence our integrated bed bugs treatment program. Our specialised pest control technicians treat all affected areas with safe insecticides, concentrating on their harbourages so that most of the insecticide is out of sight.
What is the result?
Once the areas have been treated, the bed bugs will be completely eradicated, and you can sleep easy!

Bed bugs short FAQ
What is the main cause of bed bugs?
People often ask "How can bed bugs get into my home?" They can come from other infested areas, such as motels or hotels, or even from used furniture you may have bought. They are the ultimate stowaways, and can ride in luggage, purses, backpacks, or other items placed on infected surfaces. The little blood suckers can even travel between rooms in apartment buildings and hotels.
What are bed bugs?
Bedbugs are small insects that measure only 5 millimeters across. Bed bugs are savvy, tough as nails, and maybe worse, they reproduce very fast. Bedbugs can essentially lay dormant for ages, and can survive months on end between meals. Typically, a female can lay 500 eggs in her lifetime. You may recognise a bedbug has feasted on your through the night by the red, itchy welts all they leave all over your body.
How can I get rid of bed bugs fast?
There are a few ways you can treat bed bugs yourself, although the most effective and fastest way is to contact a local professional pest exterminator.
1) Wash your bedding and clothes in very hot water for no less than 30 minutes. After they are washed thoroughly, use a clothes dryer set to the highest heat setting for another 30 minutes.
2) If you have access to a steamer, use it on mattresses, lounges, and other places where bed bugs may hide.
3) Pack infested items in dark coloured plastic bags and leave them out on a hot (35+ degree) day or even better, in a closed car sitting in the hot sun. Just be warned though, more temperate climates it can take 2 to 5 months to kill the enclosed bed bugs.
4) On the other side of the heat treatment, you could put your bed bug ridden bags in a freezer at -17°C. Make sure you check the temperature though to ensure it is -17 or less. Leave them in the freezer for at least 4 or 5 days.
